These terms govern the use of the Kargit website. By using the site, you accept them; if you do not agree with any of them, please do not use the service.

1. Purpose and publisher

These general terms of use (the ‘Terms’) set out the rules for using the Kargit website, available at kargit.fr, published by , an individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel, EI) trading as OanDev (SIRET 130 585 615 00011).

Kargit is developed by OanDev. The full identity of the publisher and the hosting provider is given in the legal notice; the processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.

2. Description of the service

Kargit is a comparison tool that calculates, for an electric vehicle trip, the charging cost and time according to different strategies (cheapest, fastest, with or without a subscription, with or without tolls) — see how Kargit ranks results. The service is available free of charge, without creating an account for its main features.

Estimates, not guarantees. The costs, durations and battery levels displayed are calculated from public data (operators' prices, maps, routes) and driving assumptions; they may differ from reality (a price change not yet recorded, traffic conditions, availability of a charging station...). Kargit does not replace your own vigilance: check prices and availability on site before committing. Kargit is not a supplier of electricity, charging subscriptions or navigation services: it directs you to offers and services from third parties (charging operators, card issuers), whose own terms apply.

The service evolves: features may be added, changed or removed without notice, particularly during the beta phase.

3. User account

Creating an account (email and password, or sign-in via Google/Facebook) is optional: it lets you access your vehicle, your preferences, your addresses and your favourite trips on all your devices. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity carried out from your account; let us know via the contact form in the event of unauthorised use.

The information provided when registering must be accurate. You must be at least 15 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian if you are under that age, to create an account.

If you agree to receive the newsletter and/or partner offers, these two choices remain independent and can be changed at any time in My profile or via the unsubscribe link included in each relevant email — see the privacy policy.

You can delete your account at any time (My profile → Delete my account).

4. Acceptable use of the service

By using Kargit, you agree not to:

  • Extract, harvest or automatically collect (‘scraping’) the site's content (prices, charging stations, maps) on a large scale, or circumvent the rate limits in place;
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the security of the service, its servers or other users' accounts;
  • Use the contact form or the service to send unsolicited messages (spam);
  • Impersonate a third party or knowingly provide inaccurate information when registering.

In the event of a breach, Kargit may suspend or remove the access concerned, without prejudice to any legal proceedings.

5. Liability

Kargit uses reasonable means to ensure the accuracy of the information displayed and the availability of the service, without any obligation of result. Kargit cannot be held liable for:

  • any difference between the estimated cost or time and the actual cost or time of a trip;
  • the unavailability, failure or incompatibility of a charging station, an operator or a third-party payment method;
  • a temporary interruption of the service (maintenance, failure, force majeure);
  • any indirect damage resulting from the use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be limited by law (in particular in the event of gross negligence or intentional misconduct).

Remuneration and independence of the ranking. Kargit may receive a commission when you take out a subscription via a ‘Subscribe’ button; this never influences the calculation or the ranking of results — see the legal notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Kargit brand, logo, design and code are the property of their publisher; any reproduction without permission is prohibited, except for the open data used by the service (OpenStreetMap, the French national database of charging infrastructure, IGN Géoplateforme), which is subject to its respective licences — see the legal notice.

7. Termination

You can stop using Kargit and delete your account at any time. Kargit may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, after attempting to inform the user where reasonably possible.

8. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may change, particularly when a feature of the service changes. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page; in the event of a significant change, we will inform you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first (via the contact form) before any legal action, without prejudice to a consumer's right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.
